Zia Arts & Crafts – Christmas in New Mexico

Here's what Christmas looks like here in New Mexico

Selling jewelry in Albuquerque makes me happy for a number of reasons.  I get to see my daughter and my best pal Sabrina – I get to eat somewhere fabulous like Sadie’s – I get to pick up a load of groceries at Whole Foods (we don’t generally do organic in Quay County unless it comes out of our backyard) – I get to run by Target and Sam’s and a dozen other errand locations that don’t exist in my neck of the woods.  Mostly I get to sell beautiful jewelry to folks that want it, and hopefully I get to make a little money in the middle of it all.

This weekend we’re at the Fairgrounds (Expo New Mexico) with the Zia Arts & Crafts Show with the theme of Christmas in New Mexico.  Come on out and see us from 10 – 5 on Friday and Sunday, 10 – 6 on Saturday (11-19 to 21, 2010).  I’m looking forward to it.   I may even wear my holiday attire!

  1. Terrific place to live — New Mexico. I swear there are more cultural events there than anywhere else and throughout the year. We’re going to Santa Fe on the 23 December and make the Canyon Road walk on Christmas Eve night. You have such a stimulating environment.

    • It is a terrific place to live. We had a great time at the show, and met dozens of amazing artists that I plan to blog about. Lucky you – getting to spend Christmas Eve on Canyon Road!
